New Line Home Entertainment is changing up their next generation plans.
In a story from The Digital Bits, it appears that at the recent Entertainment Merchants Association convention in Las Vegas, New Line announced to retailers that they will begin putting out titles on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray disc.
At CES this past January they had stated that they wanted to use Warner's TotalHD combo format. Sadly, this format has had some bumps in getting to market so the studio has decided to hedge their bets by putting out movies in both next generation formats.
The first title that will debut in both formats will be Hairspray. It is scheduled for a holiday release.
