The latest photo for Warner Bros.' Pacific Rim shows that the humans and their enormous Jaeger robots can, in fact, defeat the kaiju monsters, at least one of them. This shot, posted at the movie's official Twitter page, shows a massive kaiju skull put on display in a museum. It should also be noted that the Twitter caption indicates these monsters used to "evoke fear," in the past tense. Is this part of a future sequence where the humans have thwarted this menacing, monstrous threat? Or, since the story takes place 15 years after the kaiju first emerged from the sea, is this one of the first monsters ever taken down by the Jaegers? Find out for certain when director Guillermo del Toro's summer action thriller hits theaters on July 12.
