A handful of new images from the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series, Shrinking, offer our first look at Harrison Ford and Jason Segel as a pair of therapists with an unorthodox and unethical approach to therapy. Released alongside the first trailer for the show, Shrinking comes from the minds of How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel and Ted Lasso’s Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein and is due to land on the streaming service in January.

Shrinking follows a grieving therapist named Jimmy, played by Jason Segel, who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and breaching ethical barriers, he finds his new approach results in massive changes to his patients’ lives...as well as his own.

These new images offer our best look yet at the core cast of Shrinking, with Harrison Ford cutting a stoic (if a little judgmental) figure as the bespectacled Dr. Phil Rhodes. A friend and colleague of Segel’s Jimmy, Dr. Rhodes is a pioneer in cognitive behavioral therapy who is going through his own personal turmoil after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

One of the images finds Ford and Segel’s characters in the middle of a debate, something that will undoubtedly come up multiple times throughout the series as they discuss the implications of Jimmy’s new approach. In addition to Segel and Ford, Shrinking stars Christa Miller (Scrubs, Cougar Town), Jessica Williams (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Girls), Michael Urie (The Good Fight), Tilky Jones (Pretty Little Liars, Nashville), as well as Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell.

An all-new Apple Original comedy series, Shrinking is written by Emmy Award-winning Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence alongside Emmy Award-winning Ted Lasso star, writer, and co-executive producer Brett Goldstein and Jason Segel. Lasting 10 episodes, Shrinking is scheduled to premiere with the first two episodes on Friday, January 27, 2023, on Apple TV+, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.

As well as featuring in a prominent role on the small screen for the first time, Harrison Ford will soon return to the big screen to play one of his most iconic characters for the last time. Indiana Jones 5 will find Ford’s beloved adventurer once again doing battle with the Nazis. Though this time, it will be against the backdrop of the 1960s space race.

“The simple fact is that the moon-landing program was run by a bunch of ex-Nazis. How ‘ex’ they are is the question,” Indiana Jones 5 director James Mangold explained recently. “And it gets up Indy’s nose… It’s not just that the model of what a hero is has completely changed. It’s not just that they’re looking for something where there’s nothing up there – it’s like Reno without the gambling, or whatever his line is. But the people that are behind it are, you know, his sworn enemies.”

Directed by James Mangold from a script co-written by Mangold, Jez Butterworth, and John-Henry Butterworth, Indiana Jones 5 stars Harrison Ford, John Rhys-Davies, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones and Antonio Banderas, and is scheduled for release on June 30, 2023.
