Award-winning drama series like HBO's The White Lotus and Paramount's Yellowstone have done exceptionally well to convey incredibly raw and captivating stories, all with their immaculately chosen cast and breathtaking settings in places like the beauteous coasts of Hawaii and Sicily, and the golden ranges and snow-capped peaks of Montana. Now yet another new show is set to hopefully bring much of that same magic, this time to the renowned ski slopes of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. As per Deadline, a new drama series called Teton is underway at Amazon Studios, courtesy of Amy B. Harris and Jason Reilly.

Teton is set to be a gripping new drama, helmed by Amy B. Harris and husband Jason Reilly as part of their first-look deal with Amazon. Harris is most well-known for producing HBO's most famous romantic comedy drama series Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004. She also later produced a one-season prequel series called The Carrie Diaries for the CW network, which followed Carrie Bradshaw on the streets of New York City during her teenage years. Most recently she's worked as showrunner and executive producer on another Amazon drama series called The Wilds, which ran for two seasons from 2020 to 2022. Her other credits include series like The Comeback (2005), Fetching (2012), Gossip Girl (2007-12), Wicked City (2015), and Designated Survivor (2016). Meanwhile, Reilly has worked with Harris as a director on both Fetching and The Carrie Diaries, along other series like Jane the Virgin and 2 Broke Girls.

Harris and Reilly are also co-writers on the Teton project, which was initially thought up by fellow showrunner and country musician Cameron Duddy. While under Harris' A.B. Baby Productions, Temple Hill Entertainment is overseeing the production, which is reportedly already full-steam ahead.

Teton is set to take place on the infamous slopes of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Teton is an actual county near the border with Idaho that is one of the wealthiest counties in the country, despite being home to just over 23,000 people. Known for its unimaginable scenery which it shares with two major national parks including Yellowstone, as well as the prestigious ski resorts in Jackson Hole, Teton is a hidden woodland paradise that many likely have never known about, and it will be the focal point of Harris' new drama series.

The premise of the show will revolve around ski champion Kick Taylor, who returns home to Teton after suffering a mental breakdown during her latest racing tour. Coming to terms with her mother's death and leaving behind her loved ones to pursue a hard-fought and physically exhausting dream, she rejoins her small, tight-knit community of friendly eccentrics and slope devotees up in the mountains. They all contend with keeping their home, one of the most beautiful places in the world, loved and well-cared for while also catering to the overbearing desires of the wealthy who come and go.

Teton currently has no release window, but will eventually premiere on the Prime Video streaming platform. More details will follow soon.
