Newmarket Films has made the Toronto Film Festival interesting by picking up the most controversial film this year, the documentary/thriller, Death of a President.

The film has a realistic depiction of an imagined assassination of President Bush; director Gabriel Range mixes real footage and dramatized segments to depict the aftermath of an October 2007 Bush assassination and its impact on U.S. civil liberties, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Death of a President is set for release within the next few months; it will also air on TV on Channel 4 in the UK next month.
