Nick Swardson and T.J. Miller have boarded Hell & Back, in which they will voice two best friends on a journey to rescue their dead pal from Hades.

This R-rated stop motion adventure will be directed by Tom Gianas, who has worked on episodes of both Tenacious D and Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, and Ross Shuman, responsible for episodes of Robot Chicken and Moral Orel.

The film is being produced by ShadowMachine, the company behind both Robot Chicken and Moral Orel.

Production is expected to begin early next year.
