Nicolas Cage and 50 Cent have agreed to star in the boxing film, The Dance for Universal Pictures.

A film based on the real life of prison boxing coach Billy 'The Kid' Roth, who spent more than 40 years as a volunteer boxing coach in Louisiana state prisons. In 2003, the documentary by John Darling Haynes was picked up by Cage to develop for a feature.

According to Variety, Cage will play Roth, while 50 Cent will play a life-time inmate the coach believes has the talent to be a contender.

The Dance will start production later this year.
