2019’s Bombshell took home the Oscar for Best Hair and Makeup, per The Hollywood Reporter, and this was perfect for Charlize Theron’s character, who transformed completely into Megyn Kelly. Kidman portrayed Gretchen Carlson, and her wig was stiff and barely moved, however, it still added to her performance and the talents of the styling team should be applauded.

5 The Northman

A more recent entry on our list is Robert Egger’s highly anticipated 2022 film The Northman. Kidman plays Alexander Skarsgård’s mother, who is unhinged and intense. The wig lacks volume, but is perfect for the character, and is the type of messy-looking wig that actually required a lot of behind the scenes styling and attention.
