New Line Cinema has acquired the spec screenplay North of Reno for producer Beau Flynn (San Andreas) and his FlynnPictureCo production company.

The script was written by Banipal and Benhur Ablakhad, which is described as a, "twisty, crime thriller centered around the pursuit of a hidden fortune." The sibling screenwriters have also written Blacklisted, a buddy caper tale compared to The Dirty Dozen and Ocean's Eleven, which was bought by FilmEngine.

New Line executives Michael Disco and Sam Brown are overseeing the project, with FlynnPictureCo's Scott Sheldon supervising the development of the script. No production schedule was given.

Beau Flynn most recently produced Hercules, which stars Dwayne Johnson as the title character. The action-adventure has taken in over $210 million worldwide since debuting in July. He is also producing next summer's Dwayne Johnson action vehicle San Andreas, which debuts on June 5, and Solace, starring Anthony Hopkins and Colin Farrell.
