As part of Disney Investor Day, the all-new teaser trailer for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been released. The highly-anticipated limited series will finally see the return of Ewan McGregor as the legendary Jedi Master since his last appearance in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith back in 2005. Obi-Wan Kenobi will join the ranks of the Star Wars original programming on Disney+ alongside The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Star Wars: Visions. You can check the official teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi below.

As shown above, the all-new teaser trailer reveals all sorts of never-before-seen footage for the Disney+ series. Unfortunately, while fans didn't get a glimpse of Hayden Christensen's return as Darth Vader whatsoever, his presence can definitely be heard on the title screen towards the end of the teaser trailer. On the bright side, however, the trailer did reveal our first look at the Inquisitors, as they make their first live-action debut. The first Inquisitor seen in the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer is their leader, Grand Inquisitor. Introduced early back in the first season of Star Wars Rebels, he is a striking, menacing, voiced by Jason Isaacs, who pursues former-Padawan Kanan Jarrus and prospective Jedi Ezra Bridger throughout the season.

Another Inquisitor that appeared in the teaser trailer was Fifth Brother. This character had also appeared in Star Wars Rebels, but was eventually killed by Darth Maul himself. According to Entertainment Weekly, Moses Ingram will play an Inquisitor named Reva, which is believed to be Third Sister. Also joining the cast for Obi-Wan Kenobi are Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, and Rory Ross.

Ever since the show's official confirmation was revealed to the world back in 2019, the anticipation for Obi-Wan Kenobi has been quite up there. Recently, IMDb had announced that Obi-Wan Kenobi was listed in its Most Anticipated Movies, TV Series of 2022. To be precise, the Star Wars series was placed as the 6th most anticipated new series of 2022. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy had revealed how McGregor and Christensen's reunion turned into an emotional moment, and how they were excited to step back into their iconic roles once again (and hopefully not for the last time).

"The thing that was most exciting was being on the set and watching the two of them get excited," Kennedy told Empire magazine. "They hadn't seen one another in a long time. I was surprised at just how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and just realizing how important Star Wars was to each of them. It was the beginning of their careers."

Obi-Wan Kenobi is currently scheduled to be released on May 25. The upcoming limited series will consist of a total of six episodes. Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold. Star Wars composer John Williams wrote the main theme for the series.
