According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ole Bornedal will be writing and directing an adaptation of the Dean Koontz' thriller The Husband.

The film will be made for Random House Films and Focus Features.

The book looks at an ordinary man whose love for his wife is tested over a 60-hour period.

Bornedal is currently rewriting the screenplay which was initially written by Glenn Gers.

The Husband came to bookshelves in 2006 in hardcover in the U.S. and Canada from the Bantam Books imprint of Random House.
