Oliver Platt has just signed on to become a reoccurring character on the FX series Nip/Tuck. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will also be appearing in Frost/Nixon around the same time.

Platt will be playing Bob Zelnick in Ron Howard's big screen adaptation of Frost/Nixon. His character was the executive editor of the interviews the film revolves around.

On Nip/Tuck, Platt will be appearing as Freddy Prune. He is the producer of a reality series that the show's two leads appear on. He is scheduled for five episodes.

Nip/Tuck returns in the fall. Frost/Nixon is currently shooting.
