Director Oliver Stone is revisiting his 1987 classic for a new follow-up project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone has signed a deal with Fox for a sequel to his 1987 film Wall Street, tentatively titled Wall Street 2.

Allan Loeb (21) wrote the script and, while a plotline for the sequel was not revealed, the film will take a look at Gordon Gecko, 20 years later. Michael Douglas starred as Gecko in the original, taking home the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal. This film will have Gecko taking on a younger protoge, with Shia LaBeouf in negotiations for the younger role.

It was said that Douglas' involvement in the sequel is almost a sure thing, since he has reportedly read and liked the new script.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments on this new sequel as soon as we have more information.
