In response to the fan support at the box office for TriStar Pictures' hit film One Direction: This Is Us, the studio is releasing an extended cut of the film, in theaters this Friday, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Sony Pictures. One Direction: This Is Us - Extended Fan Cut will feature 20 minutes of new footage and four songs not previously in the movie. The film has taken in an estimated $50 million worldwide since opening.
Commenting on the announcement, Jeff Blake had this to say.

Followers can reach out on Twitter @1DThisIsUs with the songs they'd like to hear in the film - and go to the theater on Friday to see and hear which songs make the cut."
