Guy Ritchie has teamed up again with his Snatch, Revolver and Wrath of Man comrade Jason Statham to bring us his new action spy film, Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre. Super spy Orson Fortune (Statham) and his team of top operatives (Aubrey Plaza, Bugzy Malone, and Cary Elwes) recruit Hollywood's biggest movie star, Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett), to help them on an undercover mission to stop billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant) from selling a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order.

Earlier this year Aubrey Plaza showed her excitement for the team up. "I cannot wait to shoot this movie," she said. "I hope that it will allow me to be a bada** CIA agent with the ultimate bada**. There's no one more bada** than Statham - and I'm coming for Statham. He better watch out. Because I'm going to destroy him, and he's going to like it."

"You have to look up the meaning of 'Ruse de guerre;' it's too ironic a premise to ignore," says Guy Ritchie. "Somehow only the French have managed to capture the meaning within a term, 'the accepted unorthodox approach to war' which is really what our film is about."

"Guy and Jason have repeatedly impressed audiences with their collaborations, and we're looking forward to bringing this production to the city of Doha, Qatar, a growing market in the entertainment and media space," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, chairman of Miramax-owner beIN Media Group. "This film marks our third collaboration with Guy Ritchie, adding to our expanding list of nearly 20 projects having been released or currently in production since beIN's acquisition of Miramax - a testament to our continued success achieving the target goals we set forth for the studio's evolution while remaining committed to prioritizing investments in innovative and culturally relevant films."

Next up for Statham is The Expendable 4 starring Sylvester Stallone, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Andy Garcia and martial arts masters Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais. The new installment will be directed by Scott Waugh. Just this morning Statham was giving a shout out to 50 Cent saying, "@50Cent On top of every game! There is no other I can think of that can crossover music and film with such credibility. It’s a privilege to work with the powerhouse that he is. Massive respect and appreciation for all that you do."

Guy Ritchie's Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre written by Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies hits theaters in 2022.
