In a story from Variety, Orlando Bloom and James Corden have come aboard the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson's 3D version of The Three Musketeers for Constantin Film and Impact Pictures.

Bloom is going to play the Duke of Buckingham while Corden will be the servant Planchet.

Summit wants to release The Three Musketeers for a summer 2011 U.S. release. Constantin will distribute the picture in Germany. Summit recently sold out all territories at Cannes.

"We are definitely modernizing The Three Musketeers without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece," Anderson has said. "But in our film, corsets and feathered hats don't take center stage. Our version is rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure."

The script was adapted from the Alexandre Dumas' novel by Andrew Davies and Alex Litvak.
