Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Oscar Isaac has stated that he would be open to returning to a galaxy far, far away. Speaking on SiriusXM, Isaac said that he would be open to “anything” Star Wars related so long as there the story was worth doing, and had a worthy director at the helm.

"Hmm. I don't know. No, I don't know. I mean I'm open ... to anything you never know ... I have no real feeling one way or the other, you know, I'm open to any kind of good story, any good thing to do and time's the one thing that could become much more challenging as you get older and with kids and all that. It's like, 'Where do these things fit in?' Start realizing that there's not time for all of it, but if there was a great story and a great director, and Kathy [Kennedy] came to me and was like, 'Hey, we've got this idea,' you know, I'm so, so open to it."

Isaac entered the world of Star Wars back in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, playing hot-shot flyer Poe Dameron, a high-ranking X-wing fighter pilot of the Resistance. One of the newly introduced main characters of Disney’s divisive Star Wars sequel trilogy, Isaac once again demonstrated his effortless charm as he, Rey, Finn, and the rest of the Resistance successfully brought peace back to the galaxy.

Despite the sequel trilogy receiving a...mixed response, Isaac has revealed that many fans continue to ask whether he will ever again feature in the Star Wars franchise.

"So I'm up in here in this like little, you know, this little village [in Denmark] up here and they had this very small music festival down here and it was shockingly, very young kids that were there ... a couple times people would just be like 'Star Wars, Star Wars.' They would just yell Star Wars at me," Isaac revealed when asked what people approach him about the most. "It felt great. It felt really great ... I think Star Wars generally, Moon Knight a bit more, you know, those are like the big ones. Those are the bigger tent projects. So, those are the ones."

While Star Wars fans look forward to furthering small screen adventures with the likes of The Mandalorian, Andor, Ahsoka, and many more, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has recently revealed that the big screen adventures will return to the world created in the sequel era.

“We’re moving further beyond the existing sequels as we look to our movie space,” Kennedy explained. “The sequel era is what we talk a lot about in terms of where we’re going with our movies, and just how far out from that we’ll go. That’s very much the space we’re concentrating on.”

While we await the potential comeback of Poe Dameron, Oscar Isaac has plenty to be getting on with, with the actor due to star in such upcoming projects as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Francis and the Godfather, and a possible second season for the MCU hero Moon Knight.
