Back in August, we reported that Universal Pictures cut ties with its $100 million board game adaptation Ouija. The project was just picked back up by Universal, after slashing the budget all the way down to $5 million. Ouija is now being eyed for a 2013 release.

McG had been slated to direct Ouija, although it is believed he will not be involved in this new version. We also reported back in November that Fright Night screenwriter Marti Noxon is writing a new draft of the script, although it isn't said if she is still involved with Ouija.
