Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Universal has signed on Tron Legacy writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to write the big screen adaptation of the board game Ouija.

The studio is looking at the project as a supernatural action-adventure movie. It is possible that certain rules of the game - never use it alone, never use it in a graveyard, always say good-bye - figure into the plot.

Even though a spirit board to connect to the dead has been around for centuries, the board game as we know it today has been mass-produced by Hasbro's Parker Brothers since 1966, with millions being sold worldwide.

No production date has been set.
