Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are all dressed up with somewhere to go in the latest photos from the set of the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series, Loki Season 2. Released via social media courtesy of Marvel News, the image confirms the return of both Owen Wilson’s mustache and the actor attached as the fan-favorite TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius, who will once again team up with the God of Mischief for more multiverse shenanigans.

Several set images have now surfaced, offering our first look at Loki Season 2, which was confirmed during the closing credits of the first season. The first solo outing for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki begins when quickly after the Asgardian menace steals the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. This alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline.

Loki is given a choice, face being erased from existence due to being a "time variant," or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat. What follows is a sci-fi crime thriller, which finds Loki coming across various variants of himself, most notably Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), and unleashing the madness of the multiverse on the MCU.

Not much is yet known about what Loki season 2 will involve, or how Mobius M. Mobius will factor into proceedings. But it is likely that the second season will pick up where the first finished, with Loki finding himself in an altered reality ruled over by a variant of He Who Remains. If that were not already bad enough, his new best bud Mobius does not remember who he is.

As evidenced by these images from filming, Loki and Mobius will become friends once again (something which should be a joy to behold) with Loki season 2 possibly delving more into Mobius’ backstory and his life outside the TVA. Revealed by Loki Season 1 director Kate Herron, there were plans in place to explore Mobius’ family. Plans which could be carried over into Season 2.

"So I think for us, we had spoken about, I think there were a few drafts of the script where you did see like a family or you did see a life, but I think we all kind of decided we don't know what it is yet,” she explained. “And I think that's exciting, right? Because it gives more road to travel with him. And I think it's more painful when he is going to be deleted, him saying, 'What if I had a family' Because, maybe he did or maybe he didn't, I don't know where the writers will take his character.”

Loki season 2 will consist of six episodes, with Eric Martin taking over from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Loki season 1 writer Michael Waldron serving as head writer. Directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will helm the majority of the episodes.

Loki Season 2 does not yet have a release date but will debut on Disney+.
