Hulu’s Pam & Tommy series really sparked controversy when it premiered, dramatizing the lives of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee during their rocky relationship. It now seems that Anderson wants to set a few records straight as she had teamed up with Netflix to release a documentary for the streamer about her life, allowing the 54-year-old to tell her story in her way. The news of the venture came from Anderson herself, who shared an image as her only post on her Instagram account, which showed a handwritten list of what to expect from the documentary.

The image, which was headed up with Netflix’s name, it reads, “My Life. A thousand imperfections. A million misconceptions. Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you – not a victim, but a survivor. Alive to tell the real story.” The note then is finished off with the actress’ signature and a lipstick kiss.

The documentary will be directed by Ryan White, and the currently untitled project will see Netflix being given exclusive access to Anderson’s personal achieve footage collection and journals to bring to the world a definitive look at the actress who became best known for wearing a red swimsuit in Baywatch, and that video with husband, Tommy Lee. After being the subject of media headlines for decades, appearing on numerous editions of Playboy magazine and being given the kind of reputation that brought in the 1990s, Anderson is now seemingly ready to show the world who she really is.

What Does Pamela Anderson Think of the Baywatch Movie?

It has been widely reported that Pamela Anderson has said she refuses to watch the Hulu drama series Pam & Tommy, having taken issue with the content, the way she is characterized, and more. Therefore, it is not surprising that the star should want the chance to put things across in her own way, and that is exactly what she is setting out to do with her Netflix venture. Having spent decades as a sex symbol, thanks to her appearance as C.J. Parker in Baywatch, Anderson’s frequent appearances advocating for animal rights, as a spokesperson for MAC Cosmetic’s AIDS Fund, and as the face of many PSAs concerning passenger safety and universal driver regulations.

When Pam & Tommy was in production, it was reported that Anderson had been contacted by the team, who asked if she could speak and meet up with actress Lily James to discuss the role and how the story should be portrayed on screen. However, it was believed that Anderson refused to have anything to do with the series and did not return any of the calls. With the series having now aired its dramatized version of a big part of the star’s life, she now wants to make sure that people get her real story as well, straight from the person who knows it best.
