Paramount Pictures' specialty division has bought the rights to a pitch based on the Steve Carell-starring comedy short, American Storage.

Andrew Cohen will write direct the film, Brendan O'Brien will co-write; Cohen also helmed the short. The story centers on a man who is trying to turn around a failing storage facility by leasing out units as low-rent apartments to random people on the Internet, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Production has not been scheduled yet on American Storage.
