According to Variety, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Films have tapped the screenwriting team of Abdi Nazemian and Micah Schraft to pen the script for Family Jewels, a remake of the 1965 Jerry Lewis comedy.

The project, which has been in development for several years, centers on an orphaned rich girl who must choose between relatives fighting for custody of her while discovering that her chauffeur is also her best friend.

In the original Family Jewels, Lewis played seven parts, including the chauffeur/bodyguard of a 9-year-old girl and all six uncles.
