A TV writer and producer is moving into the feature film world, selling a pitch based off her upcoming book to Paramount. According to The Hollywood Reporter, My Name Is Earl writer Hilary Winston has set up My Ex-Boyfriend Wrote a Book About Me at Paramount.

The film will be based off her book of the same name, which will be published in 2011 by Sterling Publishers. The non-fiction book centers on her realization that, upon discovering that her ex-boyfriend wrote a novel, that the "fat-assed girlfriend" in the novel was depicting her. Winston's book is her response to the novel and was said to be in the vein of Bridget Jones's Diary.

Winston currently serves as a co-executive producer on the NBC freshman comedy hit Community.
