We already know that X-Men: Apocalypse will focus primarily on the X-Men: First Class cast of characters, but that doesn't mean some of the old guard can't show up. Its likely that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine, even if its just a cameo. Now, 73-year-old Patrick Stewart is throwing his hat in the ring as well, teasing that he may be back as Professor X (aka Charles Xavier).

"I don't see why not. That is one of the blessings about fantasy and science fiction. You're never really dead. I would love to come back and do some more."

While James McAvoy is expected to do all the heavy lifting as Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse, don't be so sure that Patrick Stewart has been regulated to cameo status for the remainder of this franchise. While nothing official has been announced yet, could it be possible that the original trilogy cast will be back in their own adventure sometime soon.

Patrick Stewart hints that something else, we're not sure what, is on the way.

"There might be something else. A little bird has whispered that there might be something X-Men related."

An untitled Fox Marvel Movie was announced for July 18, 2018. Is this what the head of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is referring too? We'll have to wait and find out. In the meantime, you can check out his interview in the embed below.
