Paul Castro is set to write an adaptation of the Wimbledon doubles championship documentary A Perfect Match. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miami-based Figaro Films and Viollet Productions will produce the film.
The story revolves around a black girl from Harlem and a Jewish girl from London who became Wimbledon doubles champions. It will chronicle Harlem's Althea Gibson and London's Angela Buxton, who overcame racial and religious intolerance to win at the 1956 Wimbledon tennis championship.
A Perfect Match is currently in the first stages of development.
