Paul Giamatti is set to star in another indie drama. According to Variety, Giamattie will topline the film, Barney's Version, an adaptation of Mordechai Richler's last novel.

The story centers on the title character's reckless life that includes three marriages, two kids and being a "person of interest" in the mysterious disappearance of a close friend. Michael Konyves will adapt the novel for the screen and Richard Lewis will direct.

The film is scheduled to start shooting in August, in such locations as Rome, Montreal, Quebec's Laurentian Mountains and New York.
