Paul Giamatti is set to star as sci-fi author Philip K. Dick in an untitled biopic for Anonymous Content and Electric Shepherd Productions; Paul will also produce the film through his new production company, Touchy Feely Films.

Tony Grisoni will write the screenplay that will focus on author's life and his fiction works, including elements of his last unfinished novel, The Owl in Daylight, says Variety. Dick, who died in 1982, wrote nearly 50 books and numerous short stories, with at least seven being adapted for the bigscreen, including Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, and A Scanner Darkly, which is in theaters now.

No word on a schedule for this biopic.
