The 'nice' judge on American Idol, Paula Abdul, has inked a deal to stay on board the reality giant until May 2008.
According to Variety, the former pop star got a substantial raise, ensuring she will continue to receive a hefty seven-figure salary. That goes along in the tradition with Simon Cowell's recent pay increase before the beginning of this season. Third judge, Randy Jackson, and host, Ryan Seacrest, have already signed long-term deals with Fox.
This fifth season, American Idol's ratings have increased 12% with viewers 18-49 from last year's numbers. American Idol airs every Tuesday and Wednesday night on Fox.
