6 Season 4 — "The Company"

Tommy Shelby and Alfie Solomons in Season 4 finale
BBC

Peaky Blinder's season 4 finale episode, "The Company," was as surprising as it could be. The ending had the viewers' minds filled with hundreds of questions way before they could foresee the season 5 plot. In the season 4 finale, we find Tommy and the Shelby family making plans to scheme against Luca Changretta (Adrien Brody) before he snatches their hard-earned company. Fans fear for the Peaky business after witnessing Arthur's dead body at the beginning of the episode. However, when Luca comes to ruin Tommy's reputation and take away his well-built empire, Arthur magically (or not) comes back from the dead and shoots a bullet right in his head. Later, it was revealed in a flashback how Tommy planned Arthur's fake death to win the fight against the Changretta family.

Season 4 also marked the end of Alfie Solomons (or so we thought). In the beginning, he informs Tommy about leaving his business and moving away. As we move to the end, Tommy encounters him on a beach and plans to kill him. Alfie informs Tommy about his cancer; however, when Tommy starts to walk away, Alfie picks up his gun to shoot him, only to get shot by Tommy instead. The season ended with Tommy becoming the Labour MP for Birmingham South Constituency.

5 Season 2 — "Episode 2.6"

Peaky Blinders season 2 finale contains one of the most iconic scenes from the entire series. Tommy, who almost won against Chester Campbell (Sam Neill), gets kidnapped and killed in a deserted field. However, life takes an interesting turn when one of the men hired to shoot him saves his life and gives an intriguing message from Winston Churchill.

Season 2's finale also reunites Tommy with his one true love, Grace (Annabelle Wallis), who reveals to him that she is pregnant with his child. More than that, Polly (Helen McCrory) boldly corners Inspector Campbell in a phone booth and shoots him, marking his farewell from the show. Speaking about Polly, his son, Michael Gray (Finn Cole), rejects his mother's option to reside away from the Peaky Blinders. Instead, he joins Tommy's business to make real money.

4 Season 6 — "Lock and Key"

In the Peaky Blinders season 6 finale, Tommy Shelby tied all his loose ends. The last season was significant to the viewers for many reasons, one of them being able to give Polly a justified farewell, after McCrory passed away. "Lock and Key" started with Tommy (still) believing that he would die soon due to tuberculoma, which he attained from his daughter Ruby.

However, after figuring out that the diagnosis was a ruse set up by Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin), Tommy returns to the battlefield to fight season 6's most prominent antagonist. After defeating Michael in his own game, Tommy sees his caravan burning in flames, forcing him to ride a horse. Tommy riding a horse gives deja vu from season 1, presumably because he is on his way to a new life — which will presumably be explored in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie.

3 Season 5 — "Mr. Jones"

BBC

The Peaky Blinders season 5 finale left the fans with an announced worry and shock. The season ended with a furious Tommy pointing a gun at his head, though luckily, he did not die. Season 5's finale is mainly composed of Tommy planning Oswald Mosley's assassination. Moreover, the audience learns about Alfie Solomons being alive, whom Tommy later visits for help in the assassination. As we move closer to the end, Tommy and his gang are preparing for their ultimate mission to eliminate Mosley. However, due to Billy (Emmett J. Scanlan) being a snitch, he fails to kill Mosley. As a result, he heads back home, where he gets a hallucination featuring Grace, who later tells him that he should walk away from everything, leading him to pick up his gun and point it at himself.

2 Season 3 — "Episode 3.6"

Peaky Blinders Season 3 finale
BBC

The finale episode of Peaky Blinders season 3 involved all the Peaky gang as they carried out a mission against Father Hughes (Paddy Considine), who kidnapped Tommy and Grace's son Charles. Tommy gets an order from Father Hughes, who asks him to blow up a train in exchange for his child. Tommy gathers his immediate family and assigns everyone a task to help him carry out the mission. On the other hand, he tries to defuse the situation by visiting Alfie Solomons for help. As usual, he is betrayed by Alfie, but Michael saves the day as he later brings Charlie home with blood all over his clothes. Since Charlie is home, Arthur tries to stop the train from exploding. However, it does happen. And the Peaky gang quickly runs to vanish all evidence from the scene. Unfortunately, in the end, Tommy informs them about the police issuing a warrant against Michael, Arthur, Polly, and John. The season ends with Tommy watching the four being taken away in a police van.

Peaky Blinders season 1 will always be the real deal. The first season introduced us to the charming Thomas Shelby and how he would change the future of the Peaky gang. Like the entire season, the ending of season 1 was another charm of the show. In the season finale, we saw Tommy getting in a conversation with Inspector Campbell about the guns and how his heart would be broken by the end of the day.

Tommy finishes his vendetta with Billy Kimber (Charlie Creed-Miles) but loses his heart after realizing that Grace was selling out the information and working as a spy to keep an eye on him. The two have a one-to-one conversation, but Tommy chooses his business instead of reaching out to Grace, who leaves for London, despite still being in love with her.
