Director Peter Segal's next project will be the boxing movie Grudge Match, which is being readied at Warner Bros.

Deadline has the news, which we first reported on back in March. Tim Kelleher wrote the script, which focuses on two retired boxers who are lured back into the ring for a rematch, 50 years after their first title fight. It was said the characters are in their 60s.

Mark Steven Johnson and Bill Gerber are producing the movie. The site also reported that Peter Segal's involvement in this project could put Get Smart 2 on hold. Peter Segal directed the 2008 Get Smart remake, and we reported two years ago that he was developing a sequel at Warner Bros. No production schedule was released for Grudge Match.
