Earlier today, we reported that Jim Carrey was returning to his comedic roots with Yes Men. Now, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Peyton Reed has signed on to direct the film.

The comedy is an adaptation of Danny Wallace's memoir. He tells the tale of a man who decides to say Yes to every opportunity that comes his way. In the book, Wallace wins $45, 000, meets a hypnotic dog, obtains a nursing degree, travels the globe and finds romance.

Producers hope that the film will begin shooting in the fall.
