MTV Movie Blogs announced today that both Peirce Brosnan, Tilda Swinton and Nicolas Cage have signed onto Roman Polanski's latest drama The Ghost. The film is based on Richard Harris' best selling novel of the same name.

The plot follows a ghostwriter that is hired to write the memoirs of an Ex-Prime Minister. Brosnan will play the ex-P.M. while Cage will play the man hired to write about his life story. Brosnan told MTV Movie Blogs, "I'm going to go off and work with Mr. Roman Polanski and Nic Cage on a film called The Ghost. It's a thriller."

The film, inspired in part by Tony Blair, is set to start shooting before the end of the year.
