Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is currently in casting mode, bringing on actor Brenton Thwaites last month for the key role of a British soldier who teams up with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). We also reported yesterday that Disney is eyeing five actresses for the female lead, who will serve as the love interest for Brenton Thwaites' character. While promoting The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, Orlando Bloom revealed that he is also in talks to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as Will Turner, although it will be a much different version of the character than previous films. Here's what the actor had to say below, revealing that he's still in talks and that Pirates 5 may be a reboot of the franchise.

"I'm not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet, but there are talks. Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son. I'm of course Davey Jones now, so I'm down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I'm rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won't look anything like me. [Gestures to face] Get all gnarly."

Javier Bardem is on board to play the new villain, Captain Brand, a ghost who seeks vengeance against Jack Sparrow for the death of his brother. Geoffrey Rush is also expected to return as Barbosa, but that has not been confirmed quite yet. Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Kon-Tiki) are directing from a script by Jeff Nathanson, with Jerry Bruckheimer returning to produce. Principal photograhy is scheduled to begin in early 2015, with Disney issuing a July 7, 2017 release date.
