Former Numb3rs star David Krumholtz has joined the cast of the NBC pilot Playboy, which Amber Heard recently signed on to star in.

The show centers on a Chicago Playboy club in the year 1963, telling the tales of its employees and patrons. David Krumholtz will play the general manager of the club, who is a bit of a nerd and is always keeping an eye on the club's bottom line. Amber Heard will play one of the Playboy bunnies at the club.

Chad Hodge wrote the pilot script, with Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television. No production schedule was revealed for the pilot.

In related news, David Krumholtz is also developing his own TV series for FX entitled Igotchaback, which centers on the life of The GZA, one of the original members of the influential rap group Wu Tang Clan. David Krumholtz might also star in the project, which follows a music manager who represents an older rap star who's wrapped up in a mid-life crisis.
