Last month, we got a new look at the upcoming Power Rangers reboot's villain Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks), who was seen taunting Becky G's Trini, a.k.a. The Yellow Ranger. While we did get a closer look at the helmets and power coins at Comic-Con, it isn't known when the first trailer may arrive, as we inch closer and closer to the March 24, 2017 release date, but today we have an interesting new photo, which shows Rita Repulsa like we've never seen her before. This image literally shows the villainous character frozen within a block of ice.

This photo came from the remake's official Instagram, although no other details were revealed. This is presumably the prison that Rita Repulsa spends thousands of years in after she was sent there by the iconic hero Zordon, played by Bryan Cranston. It is believed that, after Zordon defeated Repulsa, she spent 10,000 years frozen in ice, before making her return to conquer the world once again.

In the original series, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Zordon battled with the nefarious Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks), where Rita trapped Zordon in a time warp, while Zordon sends Rita and her minions away to a dumpster on the moon. Zordon established a command center outside of Angel Grove, California, with the help of his robot assistant Alpha 5, which ultimately lead to the creation of the Power Rangers. In the original series, Zordon was portrayed as a hologram, but we don't know if the reboot will take a different approach.

The Power Rangers cast includes Becky G as Yellow Ranger Trini, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, and RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger Billy, who will do battle with Elizabeth Banks' Rita Repulsa. This new update of the Power Rangers TV show follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove, and the world, is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

It was also recently confirmed, by director Dean Israelite, that this reboot will bring back Alpha 5, Dinozords and the original theme song. In the original show, Alpha 5 was Zordon's robotic assistant, and the Dinozords were the dinosaur vehicles that the Power Rangers would use. We'll have to wait and see if Zordon, Alpha 5 or the Dinozords will be featured in the first trailer, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, check out this new photo featuring Rita Repulsa frozen in time.
