The History Channel is lining up an impressive cast roster for its upcoming miniseries The Hatfields & McCoys. After nabbing Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton for the leads, they've now added Powers Boothe, Tom Berenger, and Mare Winningham.

The story will follow friends 'Devil' Anse Hatfield (Kevin Costner) and Randall McCoy (Bill Paxton) as they return to their respective towns after the Civil War only to find increasing tensions and resentment between their two families that erupts into an all-out war.

Powers Boothe will play Wall Hatfield, Anse's even-tempered older brother, a judge and the local West Virginia Justice of the Peace. Tom Berenger is 'Uncle' Jim Vance, Anse's Uncle, and Mare Winningham has taken the part of Sally McCoy, wife of Randall, who loses four sons, a daughter, and her sanity during the feud.

Kevin Reynolds (Waterworld) is directing. The Hatfields & McCoys will air sometime next year.
