Just one week after the languishing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was given a new shot of life by Cross Creek Pictures, Jack Huston has signed on to play Wickham in this adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel.

Lily James signed on to play Elizabeth Bennett, with Sam Riley playing Mr. Darcy and Bella Heathcote playing Elizabeth's sister, all characters from Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice novel. Seth Grahame-Smith's novel is an "expanded" version of the original novel, where Elizabeth's quest for love is hampered by a vicious zombie outbreak.

Jack Huston, who we reported last week was in talks for an unspecified role, has now signed on to play Wickham, a blond lieutenant who Elizabeth falls for. Wickham plans on teaching these zombies how to fight, winning Elizabeth over with his theories on the undead soldiers.

Burr Steers (Emperor) is directing from a script he co-wrote with David O. Russell, who was at one point attached to direct the adaptation. Brian Oliver, Allison Shearmur, Sean McKittrick, Natalie Portman, Annette Savitch, Tyler Thompson and Marc Butan are producing, with shooting scheduled to begin this September.

Jack Huston is best known for playing Richard Harrow on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. On the big screen, the actor recently starred in Kill Your Darlings and American Hustle.
