For Future. For Love. For Family. Everyone must fight! That's the declaration made in the all-new full-length trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The classic Jane Austen novel gets a bloody and very violent twist in this action-thriller from Burr Steers. There's no comedy in sight as this pack of knife-toting women strap up to take on the Black Plague and the Zombie Apacolypse it leaves in it's wake.

In Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in Jane Austen's classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield.

To succeed in polite society, a young woman must be many things. Kind. Well read. And accomplished. But to survive in the world as we know it? She'll need other qualities! Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is an equal mix of period drama and ass-kicking action movie. Sure to be a 19th Century blood bath, this generation gets a Jane Austen interpretation like non-other before it, as Seth Grahame-Smith's mash-up novel prepares to hit the big screen just in time for Valentine's Day this February.

Lily James takes on the role of Lizzy, who has become romantically entangled with Mr. Darcy, played by Sam Riley. This fling is interrupted by a zombie virus, with the 'sorry stricken' (as the walkers are called in the book) rising from the grave to cause gory havoc. The victims of this mysterious plague have been infected for the past 70 years, and it's up to Lizzy, her sisters, and her lover to stop the madness! Burr Steers, perhaps best known for Igby Goes Down, directs this dramatic thriller, which doesn't play the camp aspect for laughs. This is serious business, claims the ring leader of this horror show. He goes onto explain more about the story and its tone.

"The idea was that it was Pride and Prejudice set in this alternate world and then for everyone to play it straight. The movie's big wink is that there is no big wink."

Seth Grahame-Smith's last novel to get the big screen treatment was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which took its action in a decidedly different direction. Lily James wants to assure everyone that this new adventure is not 'camp'. And the new teaser trailer almost has a Quentin Tarantino vibe to it thanks to some well-placed music. The actress had this to say.

"Rather than knitting and crocheting, they're polishing muskets. She's the most badass zombie slayer there is."

Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston and Matt Smith headline this action-packed romance for horror genre fans. Both elements are put on display in equal measure, with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies promising one heck of a ride. Check it out, and then be sure to mark your calendar for February 5. If there's one movie to take your Valentine too this year, make it this one!
