Gil Adamson's historical novel The Outlander will be adapted into a feature film by Trudie Styler's Xingu Films, Sandra Cunningham's Strada Films and Robin Cass and Anna Stratton's Triptych Media.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the book was published last year by House of Anansi Press, and tells the tale of a 19-year-old woman struggling to survive in the Canadian wilderness while being pursued by her late husband's brothers who are seeking revenge for his murder.
