It seems time wasn't on Farce of the Penguins side.

In a story from Variety, the film, which was originally slated to come out theatrically, was supposed to take advantage of the popularity of the movie it is sending up, March of the Penguins. However, once it fell behind schedule (it currently still is in post production), ThinkFilm decided to release it on home video January the 30.

Combining spectacular live-action penguin footage with a decidedly R-rated theme, Farce of the Penguins concerns one penguin's search for love while on a 70-mile trek with his libidinous buddies on their way to their annual mating ritual.

At first there was talk of Farce being released last Spring. Then when that didn't happen there were thought's by ThinkFilm's Jeff Sackman that the movie could come out for this holiday season. With it still not done, they opted for the January 30th release.
