Antarctica: According to Variety, Disney has halted plans for an April start on the drama that was to mark the feature directing debut of longtime studio physical production head Bruce Hendricks.

Progress was halted because of a rising budget caused by logistical problems. The David DiGilio-scripted film was set to star Josh Duhamel, who recently played the title role in "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!"

"Antarctica" is a fact-based story about a pair of explorers who are forced to leave behind their team of sled dogs because of a brutal cold snap, then return to rescue them.

The film was locked for a spring start in Greenland. While there was plenty of snow there when the location was set in November, there is now a lot of green visible and the fear was that Greenland would be looking very green by the time production began.
