Production on the 7th season of Fox's 24 has been delayed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming was to start on August 27th. It will now start on September 10th.

The producers need to complete more scripts for the season-long story line before things can move forward. Originally, the storyline was supposed to take place in Africa, but that fell through. The writers had to go all the way back to the starting line and think of something fresh.

Cherry Jones, starring as the President of the United States, is the only new cast member thus far. A couple of other deals are currently pending.
