The production start date for Fox's drama pilot NSA Innocent has been pushed back to rework the project and recast the lead.

Stephen Moyer was cast last week as the lead of the show, which centers on a family man who is recruited by the NSA as a spy within the defense contracting company he works for. According to The Hollywood Reporter, following a table read Monday, the show's producers decided to take the character in a different direction, which led to Moyer's departure.

NSA Innocent was written by Bob Cochran and David Ehrman, who are also executive producing.
