All good things must come to an end, and on Saturday, the final bits of filming were completed on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, which marked the end of production on the entirety of the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone kicked off this decade long film series based upon J.K. Rowling's best selling novels back in 2001, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I arrives in theaters November 19th of this year.

Principle photography commenced on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Warwick Davis was part of the cast filming that day, and tweeted the following from the set:

"The end of an Era - today is officially the last day of principal photography on 'Harry Potter' - ever. I feel honored to be here as the director shouts cut for the very last time. Farewell Harry & Hogwarts, it's been magic! And goodbye Griphook!"
