More shows shut down production today due to the writers' strike sweeping Hollywood. According to Variety, both The New Adventures of Old Christine and Back to You have gone dark due to their leads walking in support of the picket lines.

Other shows that have followed suit include 'Til Death and Rules of Engagement. One of the very first shows to shut down was The Office, which closed when Steve Carrell and most of the other actors on the program refused to cross the picket line.

Late night TV has been affected the most. All of the late night talk shows have gone to reruns effective immediately. This includes The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Most are speculating that the writers' strike could last well into 2008.
