Back in December, we reported the unfortunate news that Prometheus writer Damon Lindelof is not penning the Prometheus 2 screenplay. It seems director Ridley Scott has found someone to take his place, though, according to star Noomi Rapace.

Here's what the actress had to say about the sequel, while promoting her new film Dead Man Down.

"They're working on the script. I met Ridley in London a couple of weeks ago. I would love to work with him again and I know that he would like to do another one. It's just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will."

When asked who this new mystery writer is, the actress would not reveal anything further.

"You would have to ask someone at the studio about who the writer is."

She also spoke about how some people who watched Prometheus multiple times picked up on new things each time, and how she wants to explore more of the religious aspects in the follow-up.

"It's interesting because most people I've talked to, who see the movie, see things that are quite different. Some people who see the movie many times discover new things. There are all these religious aspects, and there are very interesting conversations. And for me, if we do a second one, there are a lot of things to explore in there and to continue. I would love to do it."
