Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his best friend Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill) are back! Psych: The Movie is set to debut on USA Network in December 2017. The cast from the beloved series reunited at San Diego Comic-Con today and they decided to bring a little surprise with them; the first teaser! It is appropriately silly and should delight fans who are excited to see the show return. Those people call themselves Psychos.

Shortly after the panel at San Diego Comic-Con ended, the Psych USA Twitter account released the teaser for Psych: The Movie for the world to see. Which is good for all of the many fans who couldn't make it to SDCC to see the reunion for themselves. The teaser features Shawn and Gus breaking the fourth wall a bit and talking about the movie with one another. It then moves to a montage of them actually getting in shape for Psych: The Movie.

"Dust off the cobwebs! Remember the catch phrases! Check out how @JamesRoday and @DuleHill get back into fighting shape for #PsychTheMovie!"

In Psych: The Movie, the ambitious friends, along with some returning fan-favorite characters, come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable Psych team pursues the bad guys, justice. And food. Why does the movie need to be holiday themed? Good question. We'll probably get some answers to that question once some footage from the actual movie is released.

Psych: The Movie sees the return of James Roday and Dule Hill, who return as Shawn and Gus respectively for the special with Corbin Bernsen, Kirsten Nelson, Maggie Lawson and Kurt Fuller all set to appear as well. Zachary Levi will be in the movie as villain Thin White Duke. Jazmyn Simon, Ralph Macchio, and Charlotte Flair are also set to appear in the special. Psych creator Steve Franks co-wrote the movie with James Roday and will also direct. So this is very authentic and should serve as some good closure for fans. Or maybe this will lead to more movies in the future? One can only hope.

Psych: The Movie went into production in May so don't be surprised if we see another trailer in the not-too-distant future. Psych was an absolutely huge hit for USA during its run, which lasted for 121 episodes from 2006 to 2015. In its final season, it was actually the highest-rated original series on cable in its timeslot. So it's no wonder that USA was eager to move forward on this two-hour movie. Be sure to check out the first teaser for Psych: The Movie for yourself below and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for all of our other San Diego Comic-Con 2017 coverage throughout the weekend.
