Great news, true believers! Marvel and Netflix are officially moving forward on The Punisher TV series. No premiere date is set yet. But Jon Bernthal is confirmed to reprise his role as Frank Castle. Hannibal's Steve Lightfoot is confirmed as the showrunner. No further casting has been announced at this time, with shooting suspected to take place in New York before the end of the year.

Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle, introduced to fans earlier this year in the second season of the Netflix original series, Daredevil, with Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) serving as Executive Producer and Showrunner in addition to writing the series' first two episodes.
