David M. Rosenthal has just signed Rachael Leigh Cook and Sarah Roemer for his romantic comedy The Golden Door. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Snoop Dogg and Joseph Cross are in final negotiations to appear in the project as well.

Cross will be playing a student nurse who is forced to quite school after his father dies in a freak handball accident. He soon finds work at his Uncle's apartment complex as a doorman. There, he falls into an unlikely romance with one of the young residents played by Roemer.

Cook will play Cross' sister, while Snoop Dogg is set to appear as a slick doorman who is forced to show Cross the ropes.

Rosenthal stated, "The film explores class distinctions and the American ideal." The Golden Door is set to go into production September 4th in Spokane, Washington.
